New, fully loaded Stage 2 cylinder head for the Caterpillar 3406E, C15 and C15 ACERT, built to replace CAT 223-9250 (2239250). One universal casting covers both ACERT and pre-ACERT engines. Stage 2 adds Inconel exhaust valves — the middle ground between our Stage 1 stock replacement and Stage 3 full-Inconel head. It arrives assembled and ready to bolt on, with no core to send back.

Is this head new or remanufactured?

New. It is a new casting assembled with new valvetrain components — not a rebuilt core.

Do I have to send back a core?

No. There is no core charge and nothing to return.

What else do I need to install it?

Plan on a new head gasket set and head bolts for the C15. They are not included. Message us and we will match the right kit to your engine serial number.

How do I confirm it fits my C15?

Send us your engine serial number (ESN) or the casting number from your old head. We verify fitment against 223-9250 before the head ships.

What is the difference between Stage 1, 2 and 3 C15 heads?

All three use the same new casting. Stage 1 has standard intake and exhaust valves. Stage 2 adds Inconel valves on one side. Stage 3 uses Inconel on both intake and exhaust for engines that run high exhaust temperatures or extra power.

How long does delivery take?

Heads are crated and handed to the LTL carrier in 1–2 business days. Transit is typically 2–5 business days depending on your location.
